Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer (Azure) in EPAM Ukraine

DESCRIPTION

Our client is one of the largest premium car manufacturers and the largest commercial vehicle manufacturer worldwide. The company also provides financial services, leasing services, fleet management, insurance, financial investments, credit card services and innovative mobility services.

We are currently working on a revolutionary research and development project that will become the transport solution of the future for cities. In this project, we combine several innovative technologies in order to ensure higher reliability and speed of urgent deliveries. We aim to implement this project in a short period of time.

The team consists of about 32 engineers (EPAM+client) divided into 5 subgroups: 2 PO, SCRUM master, architect, business analyst, 12 .NET developers, 4 C++ developers, 4 DevOps, 7 QA.

Skills

• Knowledge of k8s
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Azure Kubernetes Service, API Management, AppService, Virtual Machines, MSSQL servers and databases, networks, VPNs, etc.)
• Knowledge of monitoring systems (Prometheus, Azure Monitor)
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, continuous integration and continuous delivery processes
• Experience with high-availability, high-performance systems with multiple data centers and hybrid cloud environments
• Practical experience of working with Jenkins during the design of complex multi-stage pipelines
• Ability to determine requirements and procedures for ongoing maintenance and operation
• Experience moving applications from the development stage to operation
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resource usage to program stack tracing
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Ability to create PowerShell scripts
• Excellent communication skills
• The level of spoken English is above average (B2)
• Experience with monitoring tools would be an advantage

Duties

• Develop automated processes that enable teams to design, deploy, manage, monitor and configure CI/CD for a complex distributed system
• Troubleshoot system problems and solve problems in various applications
• Work closely with the client
• Assist in meeting business (functional) needs through technology by evaluating various technology options and products
• Actively participate in high-level team activities such as making process improvement recommendations and conducting tool evaluations
