Senior Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer (React + Node.JS) in EPAM Ukraine

Our client is one of the leading financial organizations in the world and includes a number of key companies and platforms that provide services in the field of finance and stock market.

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer with knowledge of React + Node.JS. You will take a central role in developing platform functionality and in engineering changes and improvements to core system components and tools.

About the team

We are a globally distributed team in the United Kingdom, Romania and Poland. Our team of 20+ people work in smaller teams of 3 to 6 developers, allowing us to be flexible within a large organization. The team consists of Scrum Master, Solution Architects, UX Designers, Full Stack Developers, DevOps, manual and auto QA. We use Scrum as a development methodology, evaluate tasks as a team, and interact frequently with stakeholders to deliver a high-quality product.

What will you do in this role?

• Use a variety of techniques to analyze requirements and problems, evaluate multiple solutions taking into account engineering, business and strategic criteria
• Identify and solve problems that prevent the achievement of business goals
• Design solutions using common design patterns using a variety of design tools and techniques

Our ideal candidate

• 3+ years of experience with HTML, JS, CSS, TypeScript, React, Node.js
• Knowledge of SQL Server or other equivalent SQL skills
• Experience in the practice of test development, working according to the Agile methodology and writing clean code
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills (requirement analysis, documentation, specification, testing)
• Understanding of Jira/Scrum/Kanban
• Spoken English upper-intermediate (B2+)
