DESCRIPTION
The MongoDB Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the client's MongoDB databases. This role requires a deep understanding of MongoDB architectures, replication, and other key concepts. The ideal candidate will ensure database performance, availability, and security while collaborating with the development team to optimize database interactions.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB instances
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement and maintain MongoDB backup, recovery, and failover strategies
- Work closely with the development team to design and implement the best database architectures, schema, and solutions for new product requirements
- Ensure the availability and performance of MongoDB systems by implementing proactive monitoring and alerting
- Secure MongoDB installations by implementing proper access controls, auditing, and monitoring
- Manage and maintain replication and sharding configurations to ensure high availability and performance
- Handle database schema design, deployments, and migrations using MongoDB Ops Manager or similar tools
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production database incidents
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with MongoDB
- Upper-Intermediate level of English, both spoken and written (B2+)
