Senior Database Administrator (Mongo DB) in EPAM Ukraine

Our client is a large international insurance company that also offers its services and products to other companies.

The MongoDB administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the client's databases. This role requires a deep understanding of MongoDB architecture, replication, data distribution, and other key concepts. The ideal candidate will ensure database performance, availability, and security, working with the development team to optimize database interactions.

What will you do in this role?

• Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB instances
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries for maximum speed and scalability
• Implement and maintain MongoDB backup, recovery and disaster recovery strategies
• Work closely with the development team to design and implement the best database architectures, schemas and solutions for new product requirements
• Ensure availability and performance by implementing proactive monitoring and alerting
• Ensure security by implementing appropriate access controls, auditing and monitoring
• Manage and maintain replication and distribution configurations to ensure high availability and performance
• Handle database schema design, implementation, and migration issues using MongoDB Ops Manager or similar tools
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot and resolve database production incidents

Our ideal candidate

• 3+ years of experience with MongoDB
• Excellent analytical skills
• Knowledge of monitoring and security tools
• English at upper-intermediate level (B2+)
