Senior Data Engineer in EPAM Ukraine

DESCRIPTION

Our client is a retail company that sells spare parts and accessories for handling, industrial, construction and agricultural equipment all over the world. The client is currently undergoing a digital transformation. The main goal is to design and develop an analytical data platform for further integration into the client's corporate architecture.

Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Python/Scala experience
• Deep understanding of SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, relational schemas, and SQL optimization
• Advanced experience in software development with Big Data technologies
• Engineering experience in creating analytical platforms
• Experience in creating data intake pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses
• Experience in data modeling; practical experience in developing Big Data components
• Good understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices
• Experience with containers and resource management systems: Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience of direct communication with clients
• Knowledge of written and spoken English at Upper-Intermediate level and above (B2+)

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and implement innovative analytics solutions using Cloud Native and Big Data technologies
• Work with product and engineering teams to understand requirements, evaluate new features and architecture to help make decisions
• Build partnerships with architects and key individuals in other functional groups
• Perform detailed analysis of business problems and the technical environment
• Actively participate in code review and solution testing
