Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in EPAM Ukraine

We are looking for talented analysts with a Data-Driven Mindset to help create data-driven strategies that maximize the efficiency and productivity of our clients' services. Our BI analysts have experience in various business domains, technologies and product design.

Our company works with almost all business domains, so BI analysts are able to use their skills in the direction they are most interested in: Health&Care/Life Science (pharmaceuticals, clinical trials, animal health, etc.), Finance/Investment Banking (bank, financial technologies, etc.), Supply chain, Retail, Tourism (supply, retail trade, tourism and much more).

What will you do in this role?

• Transform business needs into technical requirements
• Build data models to help meet current and strategic business objectives
• Work with data directly and influence the result of the final product/service (data cleansing, data validation, data profiling, etc.)
• Participate in the design of modern architectural solutions (DWH, Data Lake, DLH, Data Vault, Data Factory, Data Platform, etc.)
• Work with various DATA specialists (Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Architects, Data DevOps, Data Stewards, etc.) and act as the main source of data for them
• Cooperate with stakeholders of various levels, project and technical managers throughout the entire product/service life cycle
• Plan and conduct activities to identify requirements, dependencies, blockers, etc. through the involvement of stakeholders from both business and IT
• Identify and solve problems related to the current and future state of data, improve data quality
• Prototype business needs using various BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio, Qlik, Plotly, and others)
• Influence the development process through backlog management

Our ideal candidate

• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst/Data Analyst in BI/DWH projects (Big Data projects a plus)
• English at the Upper-Intermediate (B2) level to communicate with business teams and IT teams working in different countries
• Excellent communication skills to manage client expectations, present and communicate interim and final project results to stakeholders
• Ability to work individually or in a team without supervision
• Experience with RDBM/NoSQL DBS/Data Lake /DWH
• Confident user of SQL/PL-SQL/T-SQL/SnowSQL/HiveQL and/or any script language (Python/R/JavaScript)
• Experience with data modeling and creating ETL specifications
• Experience using modern data visualization tools
• Experience working with Agile teams
