Lead Systems Engineer [Operational Intelligence] in EPAM Ukraine

Duties

• To offer innovative solutions in order to provide high quality services for one of our customers
• Implement innovative Logging & Monitoring technologies in your solutions
• Manage a team of engineers

Our ideal candidate

• Experience with Splunk Enterprise, Splunk ITSI, DataDog Observability, monitoring strategy, data model design, visualizations, notifications and incidents and their correlation
• Ability to promote new strategy and monitoring tools based on business needs/requirements
• Experience with OpenTelemetry
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate directly with the client, understand the requirements; define/document, discuss and agree on short- and long-term strategy
• Ability to analyze different types of logs and metrics, load logs into Splunk, analyze them, correlate them, create normalized data models, and ability to propose the right KPIs, dashboards and alerts, etc.
• Previous experience with JIRA, Confluence and similar programs
• Ability to collaborate with multiple development teams and extract key insights to define business needs
• Ability to identify risks and communicate with stakeholders in a timely manner
