Lead Full Stack Engineer (Java, React) in EPAM Ukraine

We are seeking a talented Lead Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Java and React to join our team. As a Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and leading the implementation of personalized online retail solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in backend development, proficiency in Java and ReactJS, and a passion for building scalable and innovative software solutions.

Business domain: Personalisation in online retail.

Task Distribution: 20% Front-end development, 80% Back-end development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture, design, and development of scalable solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Mentor and guide team members, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices
• Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka for message processing
• Develop responsive user interfaces using ReactJS
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of applications
• Implement and maintain integrations with databases and third-party services
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, provide timely resolutions
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java with at least 5 years of hands-on experience
• Experience with Kafka and Spring Boot
• Good knowledge of at least one SQL RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
• Good knowledge of at least one NoSQL Database (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis)
• Experience with ReactJS for frontend development
• Understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) principles
• Knowledge of at least one cloud platform, preferably Azure Cloud
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively communicate with the team
• Upper-intermediate or higher English level, both spoken and written (B2+)

Nice to have

• Experience with MS Azure Cloud, especially AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
• Understanding or experience with GraphQL
