BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), victims of war, refugees and stateless persons. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and monitors the situation of the protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in 22 regions of Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.

Project description

The position will operate as part of the implementationof the project "Providing protection and assistance services with a shelter for IDPs, returnees and war-affected population in Ukraine" with the financial support of UNHCR. Temporary Accommodation Coordination and Management (CCCM) is the name of the standardized coordination mechanisms used to work with refugees through the Refugee Coordination Model and implemented through the CCCM Cluster. CCCM mechanisms ensure effective service delivery and protection for displaced persons in all types of habitats, urban or rural, and regardless of whether they live in purpose-built facilities, unplanned settlements, self-settlement, compact settlements, temporary accommodation or transit centres.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Involvement of IDP residents in joint activities and development of their own collective initiatives;

  • In close cooperation with IDPs, organization of activities aimed at improving living conditions in MTP, community integration, etc.;

  • Understanding humanitarian principles and gender approach;

  • Strong sense of personal integrity and attention to detail and ability to work in challenging environments;

  • Strong communication skills, independence in work, proactivity and flexibility;

  • Experience in organizing and conducting trainings or similar events;

  • Experience in public speaking, conducting and organizing information and educational events;

  • Knowledge of the English language and experience working in an international environment will be an advantage.
