About the position
We are looking for a student or graduate with a degree in biology (biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related fields) who is ready to start a career in IT as a business analyst.

Our company specializes in creating software for preclinical biotech companies, R&D teams and service laboratories. We are looking for a person with excellent English (B2+) and an understanding of laboratory processes to teach business analysis under the guidance of an experienced mentor.

Your responsibilities
At the initial stage, you will work in a scrum team on a stable project, where:
- You will collect and analyze requirements from biotech customers: you will conduct interviews with stakeholders, capture their needs, clarify the details of laboratory processes
- You will document requirements: create user stories, functional specifications for the development team
- You will manage the backlog: you will prioritize tasks, break large epics into understandable user stories
- You will communicate in English: participation in meetings with customers, correspondence
- You will participate in discovery phases: analysis of needs for new projects, research of the subject area

Example of typical tasks:
- Describe the workflow for the sample tracking process in the laboratory
- Analyze the existing lab protocol and translate it into a system of requirements for development
- Prepare a demonstration of the new functionality for biotech stakeholders

What do we expect from you?
Required:
- Education in the field of biology (biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology) or related fields
- Understanding of laboratory processes, scientific methods, biotechnological techniques
- English B2+ (Upper-Intermediate) for daily communication with clients: participation in meetings, writing documentation, correspondence
- Willingness to develop in the IT direction and learn new skills
- Proactivity, analytical thinking, attention to details

Will be an advantage:
- Practical experience of working in a laboratory (internship, participation in research)
- Basic understanding of software development processes
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Experience writing technical documentation in English
