Supply Chain and Logistics Manager in Precision Talent Solutions

General Summary:The Supply Chain / Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's supply chain and logistics operations to maximize efficiency and productivity. This role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring the logistics operations from acquisition to distribution, ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.Responsibilities: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize logistics efficiency and reduce costs.Analyse data from shipping and delivery processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.Oversee all aspects of the logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution.Coordinate and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and retailers to ensure seamless logistics operations.Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).Monitor inventory levels to ensure that products are available to meet customer demand without overstocking.Implement inventory management techniques to minimize waste and reduce holding costs.Continuously review and enhance logistics processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve service levels.Introduce automation and technology solutions to streamline supply chain operations.Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain and logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Set performance targets and monitor progress, providing feedback and support to achieve department goals.Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations regarding transportation and logistics.Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, including those due to natural disasters, geopolitical issues, or supplier failure.Develop and manage the logistics forecast, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining service quality.Report on logistics costs and provide forecasts to the finance department and Project Manager.Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve issues related to delivery and product availability.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining efficient logistics operations.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, BA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.Proven track record of managing logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.Experience with ERP systems and logistics software.Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.Solid understanding of logistics principles, inventory management, and distribution systems.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) are preferred.EqualOpportunity Employer: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
