BF "Right to Protection" (Fund)- a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons in need of international protection, to stateless persons, persons at increased risk of statelessness and persons without documents. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and implements programs for the provision of direct legal assistance throughout Ukraine, promotes changes in the national legal framework, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.  

The project "Advocacy, protection and legal assistance for internally displaced persons" is aimed at protecting and maintaining the rights internally displaced persons and the population affected by hostilities at the national, local and individual levels. Within the framework of this project during 2026, the Fund will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons in the regions of Ukraine. Rivne (Rivna Region).

Responsibilities and tasks

Under the direct supervision of the senior monitoring specialist, and the general supervision of the security coordinator and the regional team leader, the employee must:

  • monitor the observance of the rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons (hereinafter referred to as IDPs) and persons injured as a result of hostilities on an ongoing basis in given locations in accordance with the existing methodology;
  • visit state bodies that provide services to IDPs, places of compact settlement of IDPs, events, aimed at IDPs, etc.;
  • communicate with IDPs, persons affected by hostilities, representatives of government institutions and non-governmental organizations, in order to collect information about the humanitarian situation as a whole;
  • provide reports in a timely manner on a daily basis based on the results of monitoring visits;
  • if necessary, conduct emergency monitoring visits to military incident sites within the region (this may also apply to weekends)
  • prepare reports on a specific incident and/or the humanitarian situation in general;
  • identify the most vulnerable IDPs and their needs;
  • explain the norms of legislationfor IDPs and persons affected by hostilities, counseling on other issues;
  • provide other individual assistance to IDPs;
  • timely and fully display information in the IDPs CRM system;
  • identify potential beneficiaries for participation in the IPA cash program;
  • perform other duties as needed;
  • understanding and following the Code of Conduct and other Foundation policies.

Professional Requirements

  • higher education (preferably: sociology, jurisprudence, journalism);
  • preferred knowledge of human rights;
  • willingness to work significantly in the "fields" (outside the office);
  • willingness to travel a lot and exceed the standard working hours of the day;
  • knowledge and understanding of the legislation regarding IDPs and the area where the OOC is held;
  • ability to collect information in accordance with the goals and objectives of the project;
  • skills to prepare reports (analytical, regarding a separate incident);
  • understanding of humanitarian principles;
  • excellent communication skills, readiness for daily communication with people (IDPs, representatives of government institutions);
  • preference is given to IDPs who lost their jobs due to displacement;
  • self-motivation;
  • flexibility.

Residence in the specified location and awareness of the local situation will be significant advantages.

ADVANTAGES FOR CANDIDATES

  • Preference is given to candidates who have their own car;
  • A driver's license and driving experience must be indicated in the resume.
