GENERAL INFORMATION
Right to Defense Foundation
(hereinafter - the Foundation) is a sector leader in the protection of people affected by war, veterans, refugees and stateless persons. We seek recovery and integration for those we help. Our team protects people's rights and influences laws and decisions in Ukraine and the world to become fairer. We are actively developing a network of partners for localized support of those who need it. The fund is 13 years old. Today, the team of BF "Right to Defense" has about 1,200 specialists. Geography: 22 regions of Ukraine, as well as a representative office in Poland. More than 3,300,000 people have received aid since the start of the full-scale invasion. Our work was recognized at the national level: in 2024, the Foundation won first place in the "Charity Ukraine" competition in the "All-Ukrainian Charity" category, entered the top 10 of the Forbes Ukraine "50 Best Charitable Organizations" rating, and took 9th place in the integrity rating of charitable foundations of Ukraine.

Project "PATH: Protection, Assistance, Togetherness and Hope", aimed at comprehensive and multisectoral assistance for people with disabilities, the elderly, women, the most vulnerable girls and boys and their caregivers, many of whom face isolation and barriers to access to humanitarian services. Project geography: Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk regions. We provide support to internally displaced persons (in particular, those living in temporary accommodation), vulnerable categories of the local population, as well as local civil society organizations. The aid is provided with the support of the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine (HFU/UHF).

The project is looking forSpecialist of social issues on work with vulnerable categories of the population (Care at home) in the city of Cherkasy (Cherkasy region).

OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • Identifying persons with disabilities and/or elderly persons in need of social support;
  • Assessing the needs of beneficiaries in social services and social assistance;
  • Providing social services according to needs, as well as home care services (assistance in self-care, movement in domestic conditions, housekeeping, in organizing interaction with other specialists and services; assistance in providing technical means of rehabilitation, training in the skills of using them; informing and representing interests);
  • Assisting identified victims/beneficiaries in obtaining additional services (medical, social, psychological, legal, provision of temporary shelter, etc.), in particular through referral, if necessary, to relevant general or specialized support services for victims and/or other entities;
  • Maintaining contact with local authorities and its institutions, as well as other humanitarian organizations;
  • Participation in writing analytical reports, entering data on the services provided by the internal data accounting program and performing other current tasks within the framework of project implementation.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Higher education is desirable in the field of social, legal, psychological or humanitarian sciences;
  • Understanding the current legislation, types and basic measures for the provision of social services will be an advantage;
  • Experience of working with such public institutions and institutions: centers for the provision of social services, centers for the provision of administrative services, services for children, territorial centers of social services, management of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, departments of social protection of the population;
  • 2 years of experience working in humanitarian organizations, with people with limited mobility (elderly persons, persons with disabilities) and other vulnerable categories of the population - will be an advantage;
  • Work experience with internally displaced persons - will be an advantage;
  • Ability to speak the client's language and prepare educational materials;
  • Ability to establish contact with other colleagues and agree on joint tasks;
  • Understanding and compliance with the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation;
  • Preference is given to candidates who have their own car.
