The Right to Protection, CF
BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a recognized leader of the human rights movement in Ukraine. The Foundation has strong positions in the field of protection of the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees and stateless persons. Since the beginning of the military invasion in Eastern Ukraine, the Fund has been monitoring the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal and psychosocial assistance and strengthening humanitarian response in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia regions.
Today the Fund works in almost all regional centers and communities within the respective regions. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and implements programs for the provision of direct legal assistance throughout Ukraine, promotes changes in the national legal framework, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION p>
The position will operate withinproject "Inclusive protection networks in Ukraine", the purpose of which is to create an inclusive system of support for veterans, aimed at their social, psychological, legal and economic reintegration through the development of mobile services, strengthening the capacities of public organizations and promoting social cohesion at the level communities
Within the framework of the project, a specialist in social issues working with vulnerable by population categories will provide home care and other social services to veterans and their families.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identification of veterans and their family members, as well as civilians with disabilities and/or elderly persons in need of social support;
Assessing the needs of beneficiaries in social services and social assistance;
Provision of social services in accordance with needs, as well as home care services (assistance in self-care, movement in household conditions, housekeeping, organizing interaction with other specialists and services; assistance in providing technical means of rehabilitation, training skills of using them; informing and representing interests);
Helping veterans and their family members, as well as civilians with disabilities and/or the elderly, to receive additional services (medical, social, psychological, legal, provision of temporary shelter, etc.), in particular through referral, if necessary, to relevant general or specialized support services for affected persons and/or other entities;
Maintaining contact with local authorities and their institutions, as well as other humanitarian organizations;
Participation in writing analytical reports, entering data on the provided services of the internal data accounting program and performing other current tasks within the framework of project implementation;
Understanding and following the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Higher education preferably in social, legal, psychological or humanitarian sciences;
Understanding current legislation, types and basic measures for the provision of social services will be an advantage;
Experience of work or cooperation with such state institutions and institutions: centers for the provision of social services, centers for the provision of administrative services, services for children, territorial centers of social services, management of the pension fund of Ukraine, departments of social protection of the population; span>
From 2 years of work experience in humanitarian organizations, with people with reduced mobility (opboth the elderly, persons with disabilities) and other vulnerable categories of the population - will be an advantage;
Experience working with veterans and their family members, as well as internally displaced persons preference;
Ability to speak in the client's language;
The ability to establish contact with other colleagues;
Understanding humanitarian principles.
