INTRODUCTION

BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a charitable organization that concentrates its activities to provide assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), war victims, persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, high-risk stateless persons and persons without documents. Since the beginning of the military invasion in Eastern Ukraine, the Foundation has been monitoring the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Today, the Fund works in almost all regional centers and communities within the respective regions.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The position will operate within the scope of the project "Supporting resettlement from accessible front-line settlements to places of temporary residence and social institutions in the host communities".

The purpose of the project< /strong>- evacuation support the most vulnerable population groups from high-risk locations and ensuring proper and dignified conditions of stay after displacement, in particular children and their guardians, persons with disabilities, and the elderly through the provision of social services.

The project implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy and the Protection Cluster, as well as communities of the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions and coordinated with the current initiatives of the BF "Pravo for protection" funded by the OCHA donor (UHF). 

are in places of temporary residence. When providing social services, the specialist will be guided by the norms of current legislation in the social sphere and by the methodology of the BF "Right to Protection".  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying and monitoring the needs of children, in particular vulnerable categories (children with disabilities , displaced minors, children with limited mobility);
  • Assessment of their needs and formation of individual assistance plans;
  • Assistance in the identification of affected persons / beneficiaries of additional services (medical, social, psychological, legal, provision of temporary shelter, etc.), in particular through redirection, if necessary, to the relevant general or specialized support services for affected persons and / or other subjects;
  • Maintaining communication liaison with local authorities and its institutions, as well as other humanitarian organizations;
  • Participation in writing analytical reports, entering data on the services provided in the internal data accounting program and performing other current tasks within the project implementation;
  • Understanding and compliance with the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Higher education in the field of social, legal, psychological or humanitarian sciences willan advantage;
  • Knowledge of state standards in the field of social support for children and families in difficult life circumstances;
  • Experience in the field of child protection or social work of 2 years or more will be an advantage;
  • Work experience or cooperation with such state institutions and institutions: centers for the provision of social services, centers for the provision of administrative services, services for children, territorial centers of social services, departments of social protection of the population will be an advantage;
  • From 2 years of experience working in humanitarian organizations with vulnerable categories of the population - will be an advantage;
  • Experience working with internally displaced persons - will be an advantage;
  • Ability to speak the client's language;
  • Ability to establish contact with other colleagues and agree on joint tasks;
  • Understanding humanitarian principles.
