INTRODUCTION

BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons who victims of war, persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, high-risk stateless persons and undocumented persons. Since the beginning of the military invasion in Eastern Ukraine, the Foundation has been monitoring the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Today, the Fund works in almost all regional centers and communities within the respective regions.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Position will be active< /strong> within the framework of the project "Support of resettlement from accessible front-line settlements to places of temporary residence and social institutions in host communities".

Goal of the project - supporting the evacuation of the most vulnerable population groups from high-risk locations and ensuring proper and dignified conditions of stay after displacement, in particular children and their guardians, persons with disabilities, and the elderly through the provision of social services.

The project is being implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy and the Protection Cluster, as well as the communities of Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions, and is coordinated with the current initiatives of the BF "Right to Protection" funded by the OCHA donor (UHF).

Specialist on social issues working with children will provide complex social support and case management for children and their guardians who find themselves in difficult life circumstances and are in places of temporary residence. While providing social services, the specialist will be guided by the norms of current legislation in the social sphere and by the methodology of the Federal Ministry of Education “Right to defense.”

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying and monitoring the needs of children, in particular vulnerable categories (children with disabilities,housed minors, children with limited mobility);

  • < span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">Assessment of their needs and formation of individual assistance plans;

  • Assistance in identifying additional services (medical, social, psychological, legal, provision of temporary shelter, etc.), in particular through redirection, if necessary, to relevant general or specialized support services for affected persons and / or other subjects;

  • Maintaining contact with local authorities and its institutions, as well as other humanitarian organizations;

  • Participation in writing analytical reports, entering data on the provided services of the internal data accounting program and performing other current tasks within the framework of project implementation;

  • Understanding and following the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Higher education in social sciences, law,  psychology or humanities will be an advantage;

  • Knowledge of state standards in the field of social support for children and families in difficult life circumstances;

  • 2 years of experience in the field of child protection or social work will be an advantage;

  • Work experience or cooperation with the following state institutions and institutions: centers for the provision of social services, centers for the provision of administrative services, services for children, territorial centers of social services, departments of social protection of the population will be an advantage;< /p>

  • From 2 years of work experience in humanitarian organizations with vulnerablewe are population categories - will be an advantage;

  • Experience working with internally displaced persons will be an advantage;

  • Ability to speak the client's language;

  • The ability to debug contact with other colleagues and coordinate common tasks;

  • Understanding humanitarian principles.
