Physical rehabilitation specialist (Rehabilitation Technical officer)

LOCATION:Kharkiv, Dnipro">MAIN TASK

 Physical Rehabilitation Specialist contributes to the fulfillment of the mandate and 10-year Humanity & Inclusion strategy in his country. He/she facilitates projects by providing technical expertise and ensuring optimization of the quality and impact of the project(s). He/she works closely with the program's technical team. 

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Task 1. Expert experience:

1. Provides leadership and technical support to projects in accordance with common technical frameworks and standards within their industry perimeter:

  • Provides appropriate technical guidance and support to project managers and/or specialists; 

  • Ensures that project(s) activities are performed in accordance with internal quality and technical standards and suggests adjustments or improvements as necessary; 

  • Adapts project documentation in accordance with global technical norms and standards; 

  •  

  • Ensures coordination and collaboration with project technical partners, authorized specialists or project manager as needed. 

2. Provides technical training on projects:

  • Collects elements necessary to capitalize or document research; 

  • Promotes technical training under the responsibility of a specialist or project manager based on good practice;

  • Contributes to the development of terms of reference for evaluation; 

  • Implements recommendations for improving the technical quality of projects. 

3. Promotes professional development:

• Facilitates recruitment; 

• Facilitates or provides necessary technical training in his field; 

• Contributes to the development of a professional development plan for professionals in their field and can be a third-party evaluator; 

• May contribute to the development of the local human resources within the region where the rehabilitation takes place (conducts technical interviews with candidates and makes recommendations, determines training needs). 

Task 2.Implementation and monitoring:

  1. Ensures event planning and implementation of established event plans:

  • Ensures the implementation of the project in cooperation with the relevant services and in accordance with common standards and procedures; 

  • Facilitates partnership agreements with artists and other potential partners; 

  • Coordinates and cooperates with relevant internal services, especially logistics services. 

2. Facilitates data management within the project:

  • Ensures that the project has appropriate data collection and management tools in accordance with global standards; 

  • Ensures that project-related data is collected and compiled into the project database; 

  • Helps to perform regular checks and any necessary corrections to the live database. 

3. Attempts to prepare reports within the framework of the project:

  • Helps to monitor achieved results and indicators according to a logical structure. 

Task 3.Impact:

  1. Contributes to the implementation of HI expertise: May present technical HI rehabilitation expertise to relevant local networks. 

  2. Communicates the technical aspect of the project to partners, authorities and stakeholders when necessary.

  • Contributes to the development of new project proposals for the continuation or expansion of the project. 

  • Contributes to the development of new proposals for new opportunities.

    Experience(type and amount of experience):

    • At least 2 years of clinical experience in the country of origin; 
    • Previous work experience in humanitarian programs.

    • Clinical management of rehabilitation of beneficiaries;
    • HI Standards and Regulations for Rehabilitation/Service Professionals;  
    • Development of professional potential (training, support, behavior change) in rehabilitation in humanitarian settings.
    • Be able to help team members make plans and view plans.

    • Excellent communication skills and diplomacy; 

    • Ability to follow instructions and be a team member; 

    • Flexibility; 

    • Meticulous attention to detail; 

    • Good organizational skills;

    TERMS OF WORK

    Contract: Employment contract (according to Ukrainian legislation) Term

    Type of employment: Full time
