GENERAL INFORMATION

BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization focusing its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), victims of war, refugees and stateless persons. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and monitors the situation of the protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in 22 regions of Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights. population and improving the resilience skills of first responders" aims to protect and support the rights of internally displaced persons, war-affected populations, stateless persons, as well as veterans and their families at the national, local and individual levels. In 2026, the Fund, as part of the project, will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons, stateless persons, veterans and their families in the regions of Ukraine.

The geography of activity includes Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. The territory of implementation may change depending on the security situation and the needs of the project.

Within the framework of the project, the Social Affairs Specialist will work in the Kyiv region, where the largest the need for help to ensure quick access to vital services for people affected by the war and who are unable to get to the aid centers on their own and will provide information on social issues, help with filing documents and solving social issues.  The specialist will provide a case management service: assessment of a person's needs, development of an individual plan of assistance and coordination in obtaining social support from various services and providing a holistic approach to protection issues. 400">DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Identification of individuals and families in need of social support;
  • Providing social assistance to affected persons: social counseling services, informationmyself, physical support, representation of interests in accordance with needs, as well as case management;
  • Assistance to identified affected persons/beneficiaries in obtaining additional services (medical, social, psychological, legal, provision of temporary shelter, etc.), in particular through referral, in case needs, to relevant general or specialized support services for affected persons and/or other entities;
  • Maintaining contact with local authorities and their institutions, as well as other humanitarian organizations;
  • Reporting in the Foundation's internal database;
  • Comply with the Foundation's Code of Conduct and Policies.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS style="font-weight: 400">Higher education in social sciences, law, psychology or humanities will be an advantage;  population categories;
  • Experience working with internally displaced persons will be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of confidentiality principles and work with personal data;
  • Understanding humanitarian principles and gender approach;
  • Attention to details, ability to work in complex conditions;
  • Strong communication skills, autonomy in work, proactivity and flexibility.
