General information

BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Fund) - charitable an organization focusing its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), war victims, refugees and stateless persons. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and monitors the situation of the protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in 22 regions of Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights. population and improving the resilience skills of first responders" aims to protect and support the rights of internally displaced persons, war-affected populations, stateless persons, as well as veterans and their families at the national, local and individual levels. In 2026, the Fund, as part of the project, will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons, stateless persons, veterans and their families in the regions of Ukraine.

The geography of activity includes Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. The territory of implementation may change depending on the security situation and the needs of the project.

The main purpose of the work of the Specialist/position on social issues for work with stateless persons is to provide social support to stateless persons, conducting an initial assessment of their needs and facilitating the receipt of administrative, social and medical services, as well as referral to relevant specialists to resolve documentation and access rights issues. style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal">Specialist/rank on social issues for work with stateless persons is responsible for:

  • Conducting an initial assessment of the needs of stateless persons;

  • Provision of social assistance to stateless persons: social services of counseling, information, physical support, representation of interests according to needs, as well as case management;

  • Assistance in obtaining additional services (medical, social, psychological, legal, provision of temporary shelter, etc.), in particular through referral, if necessary, to relevant general or specialized support services for affected persons and/or other subjects;

  • Accompanying beneficiaries to state bodies and institutions (DMS, TsNAP, social protection bodies, medical institutions, etc.) to receive relevant services;

  • Ensuring redirection of beneficiaries to the lawyers of the Foundation for legal assistance regarding documentation, confirmation of citizenship or passing the procedure of recognition as a stateless person;

  • Analysis of individual cases of beneficiaries and assistance in finding comprehensive solutions to solve their problems;

  • Interaction with local self-government bodies, social services, medical institutions and other organizations to ensure beneficiaries' access to necessary services;

  • Ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of work documentation;

  • If necessary, to perform other tasks related to project implementation.

Professional requirements

  • Higher education in the social spherework, law, psychology, social sciences or related areas.

  • Experience of working in the social sphere, human rights protection or working with vulnerable population groups will be advantage.

  • Understanding the system of providing social and administrative services in Ukraine.

  • Experience of interaction with state bodies, local self-government bodies, social services or medical institutions will be an advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with vulnerable categories of the population.

  • Ability to analyze individual situations of the beneficiaries and promote the search for comprehensive solutions.

  • Excellent command of the Ukrainian language, both spoken and written.

  • High level of responsibility, organization and attention to detail.

  • Cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity.> none">Availability of a driver's license and own car.
