Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Paysera

About the role:as a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the availability, performance and security of the IT infrastructure. Working together with development teams and system administrators, you will help design and implement solutions according to Paysera reliability standards.

Responsibilities:we are looking for professionals who are eager to develop and are ready to use modern AI tools in their daily work

• Define and support SLI / SLO for critical components in a mixed (on-premises) environment
• Making decisions on optimization of database clusters and web service configurations
• Increasing efficiency and automating operational tasks
• Improving change management and CI/CD
• Working in an environment with incidents:
  • participating in incident management
  • reducing the number and impact incidents
  • developing knowledge base, runbooks and MOP
  • improving monitoring and observability
• Collaboration with Dev and Ops teams to improve system reliability
• Documentation of knowledge and team training
• Effective communication with stakeholders
• Participation in on-call rotation
• Using ChatGPT or similar tools in daily work

Requirements:

• Higher education (Computer Science / Engineering or related fields)
• Experience of 3 years or more in SRE / System Administration / Incident Management or related roles
• Experience in building and maintaining the reliability of large systems
• Understanding modern infrastructure and processes
• Experience with monitoring tools:
  • ELK, Grafana, New Relic, Datadog, Zabbix
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong problem solving skills and proactive approach
• Ability to work under load and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication skills skills
• Fluent English
• Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, etc.)

Would be a plus:Experience with:

• PHP, Symfony, Doctrine
• Redis, RabbitMQ, ELK, Sentry

• Experience building high-availability solutions (Keepalived, Pacemaker, etc.)
• Understanding networks and the OSI model
• Experience with: Nginx, FPM, MariaDB (MaxScale)
  • Redis Sentinel, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse
• Experience with IaC and DevOps tools:
  • Ansible, Helm, GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with monitoring/observability:
  • Prometheus,InfluxDB, Grafana
• Knowledge of APM, distributed tracing (New Relic, PagerDuty, etc.)
• Understanding of architectures:
• monolithic, SOA, microservices
