Senior Performance Test Engineer in Forte Group

As a Senior Performance Test Engineer, you will be a part of an agile team where your responsibility will be to ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance by developing and executing performance tests for new features and products. Your role will be to serve as a liaison between business and development, ensuring performance metrics meet business and user needs. You will be regularly taking part in project communication, helping the team not only identify bottlenecks but also prevent them by analyzing the root cause of performance issues and their underlying factors.You will have an opportunity to influence the development and testing process by raising your concerns and providing your vision and feedback during daily communication and retrospective sessions. The project team consists of a proactive group of people who believe in the idea of cross-functional teams and Agile software development.Technologies/Tools BlazeMeter, LoadNinja, JMeter.AWS, MS SQL Server, MicroServices, GitHub Actions.Jira, Confluence.ResponsibilityWork with clients to understand technology requirements for performance test engagements.Contribute to the formation of performance test best practices and standards across multiple projects.Work with and provide guidance to project teams to identify business workflows that are candidates for performance evaluation.Establish performance test objectives, acceptance criteria, workload models, and test scenarios.Ensure test scenarios reflect real-world application utilization and exercise integrated systems.Measure, analyze, and interpret performance test results (workload, system, and application).Educate clients and project teams on best practices within the performance test discipline.Develop and enhance the performance test infrastructure and monitoring solutions used across the organization.Create and maintain performance testing documentation and serve as a practice holder across multiple projects.RequirementsMinimum of 4 years of experience in Performance Testing, with a strong focus on analysis and testing fundamentals. In-depth knowledge and proficiency in Performance Testing Tools like JMeter, K6, or similar. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating testing tasks and processesAbility to set up and maintain performance testing jobs within CI.Hands-on experience with DataDog, Dynatrace or similar performance monitoring platforms for real-time metrics analysis and bottleneck identification.Experience with REST API testing and generating test data. Strong understanding of Generative AI and its applications.Proven experience in creating and executing high-quality performance test plans. Ability to set up performance testing frameworks with persistent test data storage and trend analysis.Experience with stubbing/mocking dependencies to facilitate testing. Capable of monitoring environments under test and identifying performance issues.
