Senior manager of the state policy project in Veteran Hab

Veteran Hub, the rights protection center for servicemen "Princip", Legal Hundred and Opportunities Space continue the joint development of the State Policy Concept for veterans and their families, in support of efforts of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the state as a whole in creating the first State Strategy for veterans and their families. We invite to the team a person who can lead and manage the communications of this project.

The approved policy will ensure support for the welfare of veterans and their family members, respect to the contribution of soldiers and veterans, female veterans to the preservation of Ukrainian statehood and the memory of the fallen.

For implementation of this project, we are looking for a person who will confidently manage project processes, set up communication with partners, monitor the implementation of tasks and ensure the coordinated work of the entire extended team.

What to do:

Management 

• Participate in the selection and manage the project team, in accordance with the organization's policies and the donor's requirements. 
• Establish interaction between the project team and other areas of the organization.  
• Maintain the project timeline, monitor project execution and compliance with deadlines. 
• Maintain and monitor project risk maps. 
• Develop project management documentation.

Interaction with donors and partners

• Control the implementation of the agreement with the donor.
• Communicate with donors regarding program issues of the project.
• Establish interaction between 4 organizations, coordinate schedules and monitor the fulfillment of obligations by partners.
• Communicate with the organization's partners and involve the necessary expertise in the implementation of the project.

Budgeting

• Control the implementation of the budget by the project team, interact with the financial direction of the organization.
• Control the timely provision of appropriate documentation by partners and contractors to enable financial activities.

Operational activity

• Conduct the selection of contractors and monitor their fulfillment of obligations
• Maintain management reporting of the project, in accordance with the organization's policies and the donor's requirements, in particular:
  - organization of discussions and meetings;
  – organizing the work of author teams;
  – organizing presentations of project progress;
  – engaging contractors to implement the project;
• Support all processes of the project, in particular, the employment of team members, coordinate project communications, interact with the donor and state authorities, etc.

Kvaqualification requirements:

• Compulsory fluency in Ukrainian and English. 
• Experience in the field of veteran affairs or high awareness of the state of affairs in the field, excellent knowledge of the analytical work of the organization.
• Knowledge of Ukrainian legislation, in accordance with competencies.
• Understanding of the format of operational work of charitable non-profit organizations.
• Experience of managing project teams.
• Experience of interaction with state bodies in development politician.
• Experience in budgeting at an appropriate level and the ability to use excel. 
• Logical thinking and understanding of the basics of analytics, ability to quickly analyze data and information.
• Ability to logically express one's own thoughts in writing, work with text. ="font-style: normal; font-weight: 400">We offer:

  Terms works:

  • Official cooperation under a fixed-term employment contract/contract for 11 months
  • Full employment in Kyiv. Business trips to Ukraine are possible.
  • Work format is mainly offline.
