The international charity fund Caritas of Ukraine is looking for a Sector Lead Expert (ERMS).

Main duties:

  • Provides sectoral leadership of the ERMS direction within multisectoral programs.
  • Responsible for the integrity, logic, quality and consistency of all ERMS interventions in projects.
  • Participates in the development and updating of project documentation (ERMS intervention logic, indicators, risks, sustainability).
  • Coordinates the work of ERMS Lead and Senior Experts, ensuring methodological consistency of sub-directions (agro, MSD, winterization, etc.).
  • Ensures complementarity of ERMS with other sectors (WASH, Shelter, Protection).
  • Supports the ERMS component at all stages of the project cycle: launch, implementation, adaptation, completion and reporting.
  • Ensures control quality, adherence to schedules and achievement of results of ERMS activities.
  • Initiates and coordinates risk management of the ERMS component (technical, operational, contextual).
  • Works with the MEAL team to define indicators, analyze results and use data for program decisions.
  • Provides technical input to donor and internal reports.
  • Participates in capacity development ERMS teams, training and mentoring.
  • Represents the ERMS direction in internal and external coordination mechanisms.
  • Makes regular field visits for technical support and monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Higher education in the field of economics, development, social sciences, agricultural sciences or related fields.
  • Work experience in the field of ERMS, livelihoods, early recovery or economic development - from 3 years.
  • Experience of sectoral or program leadership in humanitarian or development projects.
  • Practical experience of working with international donors and donor reporting.
  • Work experience in international organizations or large humanitarian programs.
  • Experience in team coordination and staff capacity development.
  • In-depth understanding of ERMS / Livelihoods / Early Recovery approaches.
  • Experience in program quality and risk management.
  • Availability of written recommendations from a previous employer.

Necessary knowledge and  professional skills:

  • Skills in software design, logical frameworks, theory of change and indicators.
  • Ability to work with project and donor documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with MEAL systems will be an advantage.
  • Fluent command of the Ukrainian language; English - at the level (B2+).
