The DRC has existed in Ukraine since 2014. At the moment, DRB has more than 800 employees working in Ukraine to implement emergency response in the sectors of social and legal protection, livelihoods, housing reconstruction and humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding (humanitarian demining), providing direct support to responsible individuals and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), as well as their partners. DRB will continue to develop long-term solutions, adapting them to the changing situation.
Currently, DRB is looking for a highly qualified Specialist in the development of security capacity of partners,, which is implemented in the Kherson region (place of work - Mykolaiv).
General purpose of the role:
You will be responsible for implementation by partners of requirements for security and protection in accordance with sub-grant agreements, ensuring compliance with donor rules in the field of security, as well as support for quality reporting, risk management in partner projects and daily security operational activities of the Consortium. and quality financing and helping them scale their activities without having to go through complex bureaucratic procedures. The consortium functions as a funding mechanism that includes a due diligence process, calls for proposals, disbursement of funds and targeted support during project implementation.
Your main job responsibilities will be:
- Act as a security contact person for communication and coordination with partner organizations and relevant stakeholders within the defined area of responsibility.
- Collect, verify, analyze and disseminate information on emergency situations and security issues affecting the activities of partners and DRB.
- Support partners in preparing, submitting and maintaining Security Incident Reports.
- Monitor the movement of personnel and partners, identify non-standard situations and, if necessary, facilitate the initiation of emergency response.
- Support partners in ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures for movements and DRB safety standards, including driver and vehicle safety requirements.
- Support partners in conducting safety risk assessments and integrating risk minimization measures into operational planning.
- Monitor compliance by partners with Minimum Operational Safety Standards; identify gaps and report risks to the Security Coordinator and regional management in a timely manner.
- Participate in needs identification, procurement, distribution andproper use of safety equipment and personal protection for partner personnel.
- Maintain a network of safety contacts and represent DRB at interagency and partner security coordination meetings.
- Support other Consortium or DRB activities as needed and in agreement with line manager.
About you:
To be successful at this position, we expect you to have at least 2 years of experience working with international non-governmental organizations (NGOs), UN agencies, donors or government institutions in the field of partnership management. In addition, we also expect the following from you:

- Higher education in a relevant field (e.g. security, political science, economics) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
