Charitable organization "Stabilization Support Services Charitable Foundation" (BO "SSS") announces an open competition to fill the vacant position of regional lawyer in Mykolaiv region in the project "Supporting the capacity of state institutions and local communities in strengthening the social protection system in Ukraine", which is implemented by the "SCC" organization with the financial support of the UNHCR.

Responsibilities:

Development of proposals and recommendations for further support on the basis of defined criteria; legal acts in the field of improving the social protection of IDPs and ensuring housing rights of IDPs;

• Support of local advocacy campaigns together with IDP Councils;

• Timely submission of activity reports of the project;

• Legal analysis of the current legislation and monitoring of decisions made by local government in the field of social protection of IDPs and provision of housing rights of IDPs;

• Providing legal information in accordance with the Project's directions; clarifications on legal issues to specialists in the social sphere (representatives of bodies / organizations that provide social protection of the population) and representatives of IDP Councils; border and other affected population groups;

• Legal support for project work (preparation of draft contracts/memorandums, appeals and statements to authorities, etc.);

• Участь у публічних заходах організації;

• Організація та проведення educational and public events for IDP Councils;

• Providing legal opinions (for internal use and external communication);

• Preparation of relevant legislation for the social security councils;

expert and organizational support for the work of IDP Councils; 

• Organization of events related to the implementation of the project (Refugee's Day, GZN, etc.);

• Execution of other tasks related to the legal sphere of the project;

• Timely submission of reports and data entry in the SRM (if available).

A detailed list of duties will be provided during the interview.

Requirements for the candidate:

• Full higher legal education;

• Experience in providing services in this field;

• Work experience in public organizations, charitable foundations;

• Experience in the preparation of analytical materials, reports, legal documents;

• Awareness of humanitarian principles and standards of human rights;

• Understanding the context of the sphere of ensuring the rights and freedoms of IDPs;

• A confident user of Microsoft Office and G-Suite;

• Ability to meet deadlines and independently organize the work process;

• Strong communication skills;

• Ability to work in a team, proactive position;

• Ability to respond flexibly in a dynamic environment;

• Fluency in the Ukrainian language (knowledge of English will be an advantage).

The competition will take place in three stages: the first - evaluation of resumes, the second stage - interviews with candidates invited based on the results of the first stage, the third stage - provision of recommendations.
