QA Engineer (VMS)

Ajax Systems is a full-cycle Ukrainian company that works from idea generation and R&D to mass production and sales. We do everything: we produce physical devices (the system consists of many different sensors and hubs), we develop firmware for them, we develop the backend and we produce mobile applications.

This is an opportunity to be part of a team working to integrate streaming video into the Ajax ecosystem. You will work with mobile applications that interact with both the backend and physical devices. The job requires you to be able to research complex issues.

Tasks:

— Participate in the preparation of releases;

- together with the team, make a quality product and maintain it;

— creating and maintaining checklists and test cases;

— assistance in troubleshooting and root cause analysis;

- Collaborate with team members to achieve best results (developers, BA, QA from other teams).

Necessary knowledge and skills:

— Knowledge of network equipment, protocols;

- knowledge of Linux OS;

— knowledge of testing principles and methodologies;

—understanding of client-server architecture;

—understanding of the OSI model;

- understanding of the version control system (git) and its principles;

—strong technical mindset and analytical thinking;

- high attention to details;

- initiative.

Will be a plus:

— Experience with video testing;

— experience as a system administrator;

— understanding of embedded projects;

—troubleshooting network problems;

— technical education;

- Kibana;

- SQL, KQL etc;
