The psychologist will provide support to the medical unit in the care and treatment of patients in the "Sumka Samaryanina" BF, in the city of Zaporizhia. The psychologist will be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care while assisting them in their treatment. The workload is intense and requires a team of dedicated medics to meet the ever-increasing demand for specialist medical care in the affected region. From time to time, the psychologist may be involved in the performance of duties not directly related to this job description.
Main duties: p>
- Conduct individual psychological therapy in remote villages and clinics
- Determine medium and long-term plans for patients
- Management and support of patients
- Planning monthly psychological group activities with patients
- Keep abreast of the latest research and best practices in psychology
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and treatment plans
- Develop, translate and implement psychological first aid trainings.
- Travels to training locations with a team of trainers for 4-5 weeks/month
- Assist the coordinator in conducting coordination meetings with related specialists, as well as in the direct conduct of trainings.
- Maintain working knowledge of the mental health care system in Ukraine
- Assist the coordinator of the medical training program in the implementation of the program in accordance with project goals, as well as humanitarian and national standards.
- Assist the Program Coordinator with monitoring and evaluation of project activities in accordance with planned results, regularly collect qualitative and quantitative data and feedback from beneficiaries.
- Ability to perform oral and written translation from Ukrainian to English and vice versa.
- Plan and participate in evaluation, coordination and community involvement.
- li>Any other justified duties at the request of the coordinator of the medical program and the chief physician.
Work in the field of prevention mental/psychological health'I: - Provide patients with information on prevention of mental disorders, appropriate collaboration strategies, and good mental hygiene practices.
- Encourage staff and patients to use community work services before the crisis stage to destigmatize the need for psychosocial and spiritual support and normalize the appeal with help.
Additional'responsibilities:
- Help nurses provide all the necessary materials every month.
- Keep clear and up-to-date records in a confidential form in accordance with Samaritan's Bag training, regarding filling out the admission form.
- Help the employee correctly record data about patient.
- Assist in organizing medical trainings 2 times a month.
- Attend weekly all staff meetings when possible
- Assistagates with the translation of documents from English to Ukrainian and from Ukrainian to English if necessary, especially medical/technical terms.
- Any other justified duties at the request of the Samaritan's Bag management.
