Fluent spoken and written English (client-facing communication daily).
Technical background. You don’t need to code daily, but you must understand software development concepts and ideally have hands-on coding experience (even if in the past).
Proven Project Management experience in software development.
Experience writing technical documentation and client proposals (examples required).
Strong analytical thinking and ability to bridge technical and business discussions.
Comfortable working with distributed development teams.
About the position
The IT industry is evolving at an unprecedented pace. In just a few years, many traditional coding and project management approaches will become obsolete. To stay relevant and competitive, project managers must go beyond task tracking - they must take a proactive role with every client, identifying real needs and delivering tangible value.
As a PM, you will be the person who communicates with clients more than anyone else in the company. This means not just hearing what they say, but truly understanding their goals, challenges, and opportunities and then actively proposing solutions to strengthen our partnership.
Our sales team often needs technical insight to win new projects. You’ll collaborate with them to provide the best technical strategies, helping us secure clients and promote our development services effectively.
We are not looking for a “classical” PM who only follows instructions in a task tracker. We need a partner who can elevate our work to the next level. At times, you may deal with requests that seem minor or unusual, but with the right approach, some of these can evolve into major opportunities. When they do, your contribution will be recognized and rewarded including a share of the profit from those deals.
Responsibilities
Ensure Client Satisfaction - Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, making sure their needs are met, expectations are exceeded, and communication is clear and proactive.
Account Growth & Commission - You will be introduced to some of our long-term clients and will receive a commission from the profit generated through them. As their main contact, you will track their goals, understand their evolving needs, and propose new services, features, or solutions to strengthen cooperation.
Pre-Sales Collaboration - Work closely with the sales team to review, analyze, and provide technical input on new leads. While you won’t prepare detailed coding estimates, you will assess requirements, highlight potential challenges, and recommend technical approaches to help secure new projects.
Client Meetings & Presentations - Participate in technical discussions with prospective clients, translating business needs into feasible solutions and showcasing our capabilities in a clear, confident manner.
Team Oversight (Outstaff & Internal) - Oversee developers working on an outstaff basis. Whether or not you interact directly with the client on these projects, you must understand the technical challenges faced by the team, identify potential delivery risks early, and collaborate with the board and other managers to resolve them.
Market & Technology Awareness - Stay informed about modern trends, evolving client needs, and industry best practices. Proactively suggest ways to expand the range of services we offer and bring added value to existing relationships.
