Project Finance Officer in Pivdenna strategiya rozvitku, GO

SDS is looking for a Project Finance Officer:

GO Southern Development Strategy (SDS) is a national leader in practical recovery. We implement large-scale projects in partnership with UNICEF, WFP, FAO, DoS and other international leaders.

We build our work on the principles of radical transparency: SDS undergoes an annual independent organization-wide audit, almost every one of our projects is subject to a separate international audit, and we also undergo regular interim independent evaluations.

We are looking for a specialist/officer in Mykolaiv, who will ensure high quality financial support of our initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Financial reporting: preparation of reports for international donors according to their standards and procedures.

• Budget control: monitoring of project budget implementation (BVA — Budget vs Actual), cost analysis and warnings deviations.

• Operational activities: calculation of project personnel salaries and settlements with suppliers and contractors.

• Accounting: conducting financial transactions in the Bascorp system.

• Audit: preparation of documentation and support of financial audits on specific projects.

• Reservation: official employment under an employment contract with the possibility of employee reservation (deferral from conscription).

• Remuneration (after taxes):

  • 69,000 UAH — for the 3rd FOP groups;

  • UAH 34,000 - under an employment contract (with reservation).

• Work schedule: from 09:30 to 18:30, full time.

• Location: office in the city center Mykolaiv.

• Professional environment: work according to international financial compliance standards.

Requirements for candidates:

• Education: higher (economics, finance, accounting and auditing).

• Experience: desirable have experience in financial reporting for international donors (USAID, ECHO, OCHA, UNICEF, WFP) or experience working in large companies and enterprises.

• Technical skills: solid experience in BAS (Bascorp) and Excel/Google Sheets.

• Languages: Ukrainian (fluent), Englishska — from B1 (reading documentation, correspondence with donors). Level B2 and above will be a significant advantage.

• Personal qualities: high level of self-organization, attention to detail and ethical work with finances.
