Project Estimator (Remote) in Midwood Doors

Midwood Doors and Millwork, based in New York, has specialized in manufacturing and distributing entry and interior doors since 1996. Serving a wide range of clients, including construction firms, developers, designers, contractors, and individual buyers, we are now expanding and seeking skilled Project Estimators to join our team remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Review project documents (blueprints, plans, client-provided specifications) and determine project needs.  

•  Assess door requirements for each project, select optimal suppliers, and prepare cost estimates. 

 •  Create detailed project drawings (shop drawings) in AutoCAD, including specifications for doors and hardware.  

•  Develop accurate cost estimates that align with client requirements.

Requirements:

  •  Relevant technical education (engineering or design-related fields). 

 •  Proficiency in AutoCAD (drawing and specification work), Google Sheets, and Excel. 

 •  Intermediate level of English (higher proficiency is a plus). 

•  Detail-oriented, responsible, and eager to learn and grow within the company.

Compensation:

• Training and probationary period (4–6 weeks) with a starting salary of $500 per month.

• After probation, the first-year salary will be $650 per month, with a 20% increase in the second year. 

•  Commission-based bonuses for completed projects. 

• Estimated first-year earnings, including bonuses, are expected to range from $1,000 to $1,500 per month.
