General Position Information
Under the overall direction of the Emergency Programs Manager/Lead of the program specialist on education issues, the program specialist (education) provides support to the program department, ensures the implementation of programs to increase access to education in the Sumy region. cooperates with specialists other aid sectors, with key stakeholders, partner organizations, departments of education, local self-government bodies, monitors activities and works with project documents.
Characteristic duties and responsibilities:< /strong>
Implementation of the program:
- Help in the implementation of activities related to the educational project - planning , progress monitoring, timely achievement of project milestones and reporting on project results;
- Coordinate work with Digital Learning Center facilitators for feedback and planning, control and monitoring of activities.
- Assist and ensure processing of inquiries, preparation of purchase orders, cooperation with procurement departments and finance upon request.
- As needed, present PIN to various stakeholders (international/public organizations, local institutions, government bodies, donors);
- Interact and coordinate with other international/public organizations, local authorities. Inform the project manager of any conflicts, duplications or gaps and propose solutions.
- Coordinate with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to develop and implement appropriate needs assessments, baseline studies, terminal studies and other monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure compliance with internal and donor requirements.

Documentation. Reporting- Collect and submit all project related updates in a timely manner (daily/weekly/monthly) including field monitoring and evaluation reports and external meetings and related events, planning documents, beneficiary lists, etc.
- Organize the process of archiving project documentation, as well as adadministration of ELO's internal system.
- Coordinate with the field team to collect accurate data, compile and prepare reports/report materials for key donors related to the activities within the mandate of this position
< /ul>Team Support
- Provide day-to-day support, coordinating and mentoring field teams on educational activities.
- Support the teams responsible for training activities (learning assistants and DLC facilitators) - assign tasks, monitor performance in cooperation and under the supervision of the training coordinator.
- Support in organising, facilitating and delivering training for the PIN education team (educational assistants), DLC facilitators and target teachers in the subjects identified by the project (including SEL sessions, wellbeing, PFA, child protection etc.).
- Help in the selection of new personnel responsible for educational activities by participating in the development of the technical task, testing, participating in interviews with candidates.
Coordination
- Ensure close coordination with partners project as necessary to ensure a clear and shared understanding of project and donor requirements, coordination of approach and close monitoring of partner activities, achievements and challenges.
- Assist in coordinating efforts between the PIN and relevant education governing bodies and other stakeholders where appropriate.
- Support the activities of teams on the ground - DLC facilitators.
- Collaborate and support other tasks as requested.

- Experience of working in difficult and unstable conditions (preferred);
- Understanding the educational context in Ukraine and willingness to work on the ground;
- Proven ability to coordinate work with different staff groups, stakeholders and local authorities, build and maintain good relationships;
- Understanding complex issues that affect access, participation, inclusion and involvement of children in the education system in Ukraine;
- Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work both independently and in collaboration with team members;
- Proven knowledge and respect for key humanitarian principles;
- Experience in facilitation and/or training;
- Skills computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel) and the ability to type in English;
- Professional command of the English language (required);
- Ability to work in a team and readiness for learning.
