Organization "People in Need" has been operating in Ukraine since the beginning of August 2014, and since then humanitarian programs have been expanding rapidly. At this time, "Lyudyna v bidi" is one of the main humanitarian organizations in Ukraine that provides neutral and independent humanitarian assistance to people affected by the conflict.

General information about the employee role:

Under the general direction of the Emergency Assistance Program Manager and operationally subordinated to the Housing Recovery Program Lead, the program specialist provides support to the program department and ensures the implementation of programs in the region. The program specialist works closely with the engineers and the program administrator. bold">Internal relations: 

Cooperates closely with program departments, procurement departments, finance, technical experts, grants department. 

External relations:

Establishes and develops relations with local authorities, other organizations carrying out humanitarian activities and the territories of the region. 

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities  

- Responsible for needs assessment and contextual analysis.   

- Responsible for document management of security programs. 

- Supports the work of implementation partners. 

- Implements protection programs, such as: educational and informational work, individual support in the field of protection, training work on protection topics, partner mapping and referral, other programs in the field of protection. 

- Responsible for selection of beneficiaries, communication with beneficiaries, processing of personal data of beneficiaries. 

- Provides program reports (weekly report, donor reports, annual reports). 

- Responsible for organizing archiving on SharePoint and ELO. - May be involved in other humanitarian aid activities carried out by the organization. and specialty:

Higher education (specialist or master) in the field of psychology / social work / social protection / legal education

Experience in the specialty:

Preferably not less than 1 year in the field of psychosocial support of the population.  

English language:

The level is basic.

Required knowledge:

- Knowledge of public and humanitarian psychosocial support programs; 

- Knowledge of basic social services; 

- Knowledge of the peculiarities of working with different categories of the population

Necessary skills and qualities:

- Skills of working with vulnerable categories of persons;  

- Stress resistance;  

- Skills of working with computer equipment and modern gadgets;  

- Skills to work with small and large groups of people and training work.
