Program Health Manager / Officer (male/female/diverse)

Duration:   12 months (possibility of extension)

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and coordinate overall implementation of the project activities and ensure that programs are in line with ASB's strategy and donor requirements.
• Coordinate with implementing partners regarding project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
• Regularly assess health needs and adjust programs to meet the changing demands of the population.
• Coordinate with and participate in meetings with local authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Travel to the project locations as required.
• Conduct research on healthcare trends, challenges and innovations.
• Develop and present comprehensive reports on program performance and healthcare trends to internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to needs assessment and new proposal development, reviewing thoroughly the requests from healthcare facilities and recommending the equipment & support that is truly needed.
• Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure progress against project objectives.

Key requirements:

• A degree in medicine.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience in the healthcare sector.
• At least intermediate knowledge of English.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with and within multi-cultural teams.
• Familiarity with donor requirements and (inter-)national health guidelines.
• Knowledge of current healthcare country strategies and relevant updates.
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals in all three levels of healthcare.
• Ability to keep up to date with current healthcare literature, positive law practices, and health strategies.
• Knowledge of humanitarian assistance and the health-related needs.
• Excellent command of common computer programs and healthcare-related applications.
• Excellent presentation abilities as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.
