Gen.Ukrainian is an independent Ukrainian public organization that has been working on restoring childhood since 2022 children and adolescents affected by the war. The organization implements programs of psychosocial support and rehabilitation, research initiatives and develops Gen.Hope — Center of leading expertise in the field of mental health of children and adolescents in war and crisis contexts. Gen.Hope is implemented with the institutional support of KSE.
Gen.Ukrainian is currently looking for a Gen.Hope Program Director - a leader who will be responsible for the strategic development of the Center, the formation of the program portfolio, the development of research and educational products, international and academic partnerships and advocacy in the field of children's mental health.
The role involves close cooperation with the management Gen.Ukrainian, teams of programs, fundraising, partnerships, research and psychological direction.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Strategic and programmatic leadership:
- Implementation of the vision and program priorities of Gen.Hope development in accordance with the strategy of the Center and the general strategy of Gen.Ukrainian.
- Development of an interdisciplinary model Gen.Hope as a national center of leading experience in children's mental health.
- Ensuring the integrity and consistency of educational, research, psychosocial and advocacy areas.
- Coordinating the implementation of programs and projects, responsibility for their quality, effectiveness and compliance with the values of the organization.
- Communication with key partners (state bodies, international structures, expert community).
- Regular interaction with the Expert Council of the Center.
- Scientific and analytical direction:
- Coordination of the research block in cooperation with the scientific coordinator and KSE: definition of topics, methodologies, implementation support and analysis of results.
- Initiation of interdisciplinary research in the fields of children's mental health, education and social support.
- Integration of research results into programs, educational products and advocacy initiatives.
- Preparation and coordination of analytical and policy-oriented materials.
- Ensuring evidence, ethics andhigh standards of program quality.
- Academic, international partnerships and advocacy:
- Development of cooperation with universities, scientific institutions, international organizations and foundations.
- Representation of Gen.Hope in professional and international communities.
- Initiation and support of advocacy initiatives.
- Public representation of the Center: speeches, analytical publications, work with media.
- Institutional development and team work:
- Participation in the development of the organizational structure and management processes of the Center.
- Cooperation with fundraising and partnership teams in the preparation of grant applications.
- Support of department heads, development of a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.
- Team management and ensuring effective interaction.
- Knowledge management:
- Coordination of creation and dissemination of analytical, methodical and educational materials.
- Formation of institutional knowledge base.
- Dissemination of Gen.Hope achievements in Ukraine and at the international level.
Requirements for candidate:
- Experience in strategic management of programs or directions in the fields of mental health, education, social policy or related fields.
- Understanding of evidence-based, humanistic and inclusive approaches in working with children and adolescents.
- Experience in developing or coordinating research, analytical materials, educational products or policy documents.
- Experience of cooperation with academic, international or donor partners.
- Ability to work at a strategic level and accompany the implementation of programs in practice.
- Developed skills of interdisciplinary interaction, facilitation and strategic thinking.
- Experience of public speaking, expert representation or advocacy activities.
- High ethical standards, systematic and responsibility.
- English language — level C1, Ukrainian — fluency.
