PR manager of the World Food Program project in Red Cross Ukraine

The National Committee of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine (RCSU) announces a competition for the position of Leading communications specialist for the projectWFP

Red Cross Society of Ukraine is the largest humanitarian organization in Ukraine, which is one of the first to respond to all emergency situations in the country and provides assistance to those who need it most.

Purpose of the position:

The leading communications specialist, in close cooperation with the coordinator of the World Food Program, will be responsible for creation of a wide range of external and internal communication materials. This role is supported by the National Committee's Communications Department and the World Food Program Coordinator in key communications activities and ensures that their content is available for distribution through various channels. The role will be to create communication materials for the WFP project operating in the Kherson region, including field trips.

Responsibilities:

• Creating a communication plan to highlight activities with the World Food Program (WFP).
• Coordinating with WFP project coordinators and field volunteers.
• Compilation and production content for various audiences and channels regarding the WFP program.
• Creation of monthly reports on communication activities.
• Communication with service recipients to create content.
• Willingness to conduct monthly paid working visits to the Kherson region, under the control of the government of Ukraine.

Requirements:

• Education in the field of journalism, communications, marketing or international politics.
• 3 years of experience in communications, mass media, social media, fundraising, humanitarian diplomacy or similar fields preferred.
• Ability to create compelling communications content from the scene (such as news, social media content, and audio and video).
• Team player with a high level of independence.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships and media contacts.
• Emergency response experience.
• Photography, design or video editing skills.
• Demonstrated understanding and use of social media for communication and advocacy purposes.
• Comfort in working and communicating with national societies in a diverse environment.
• Analytical skills.
• Knowledge of English is desirable, but not mandatory.
• Ukrainian - Full professional proficiency.
