GENERAL MISSION
Atlas Logistique (AL) is an operational unit of Handicap International - Humanity and Inclusion (HI), specialized in the delivery of aid, in support of organizations and the humanitarian system.
To date, HI has deployed Atlas Logistique interventions in 14 countries via its transport and storage platforms, civil engineering activities, logistics analysis and capacity-building activities.
In Ukraine, HI has deployed the Atlas Logistique component of its intervention since March 2022. Currently, HI/AL proposes mutualized storage (including cold chain and temperature controlled in certain locations) in three hubs (in Dnipro, in Kharkiv and in Mykolaiv), as well as transportation services (including in hard-to-reach destinations) to other humanitarian actors. To date, HI has supported over 50 humanitarian organizations (NGOs or UN agencies thanks to these services.
Drawing on its large experience in humanitarian logistics, HI is now launching a capacity-building project as part of the Atlas Logistique component of its intervention in Ukraine, aimed at sharing its expertise with humanitarian organizations in Ukraine through the implementation of capacity-building actions (trainings, awareness-raising, technical support, etc.).
Reporting directly to the Atlas Logistique Capacity-Building Project Manager, the role of the Pedagogical Technical Officer consists in contributing to the implementation of the capacity-Building component of the Atlas Logistique pillar of HI’s intervention in Ukraine by creating and adapting capacity-building (training, awareness-raising, on-the-job coaching) curricula in order to meet skills, knowledge and good practices acquisition objectives for adult professionals the project intends to support.
The position based in Dnipro with punctual visits in different sites for the implementation of activities, such as Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and possibly other locations in Eastern or Southern Ukraine.
MISSIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Mission 1: Technical Support
Design training modules, aligning with technical expertise of Atlas and competencies defined with the Project Manager.
Offer technical guidance and support to the Project Manager, adapting tools to standards.
Ensure training activities comply with quality and technical standards, proposing improvements as needed.
Supports technically HI’s team members (including Atlas Logistique team members) delivering trainings or other types of capacity-building actions to gain greater command on improved pedagogic practices, to enhance knowledge sharing during sessions
Adapt activities based on audit recommendations, ensuring technical quality and relevance within expertise.
Contribute to evaluation frameworks and implement technical quality improvement recommendations.
Assist the translator in the translation of all capacity building tools and processes.
Lead the technical learning of the project, incorporating lessons learned and best practices.
Mission 2: Reporting and monitoring
Facilitate regular reporting on capacity-building efforts, analyzing technical data.
Contributes to any internal and external project monitoring mission or project evaluation.
Contribute to the analysis of the quality of capacity building actions and satisfactory acquisition of knowledge know how and good practices by targeted audience through designing tools and methodologies and analyzing the outcomes.
Mission 3: Contribution to liaison with external stakeholders
Upon request by the PM or the Ops Manager, represents Humanity & Inclusion on aspects related to capacity-building in the project areas with relevant stakeholders, such as local, national and international targeted organizations or key informants.
PROFILE SOUGHT
Qualification(s):
Bachelor degree and/or master degree in Pedagogical Engineering / Education / Capacity Building
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in design of pedagogical content preferably for adults
Previous experience working with the humanitarian Sector or logistics sector would be an asset
Skills:
Experience in designing educational content for an adult audience and/or management of an educational project for an adult audience.
Ability to apply pedagogy and creativity in educational contexts.
Excellent reporting skills (written and oral communication);
Proficiency in office software: word, excel, power point.
Collaboration in a global organization
Fluency in Ukrainian and in Russian, good level of written and spoken English
Knowledge of project management would be an asset

Reporting directly to the Capacity Building Project Manager Atlas Logistique, the role of the Technical Specialist with Teaching Experience is to facilitate the implementation of the component AtlasLogistique of capacity building as an integral part of the HI in Ukraine, by creating and adapting training program for capacity building (trainings, awareness sessions, on-the-job training) to achieve the objectives of acquiring skills, knowledge and best practices of the relevant professionals we intend to support under this project. span>
The position is based in Dnipro with periodic trips to various locations such as Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhyalife, for the purpose of carrying out activities, as well as, possibly, to other locations in the East or South of Ukraine.
TASK / SCOPE OF COMPETENCE
Task 1: Tech Support
Develops training modules according to technical expertise of Atlas and competencies outlined by the Project Manager.
Provides technical recommendations and support to the Project Manager and adapts tools to existing standards.
Ensures that educational activities meet quality and technical standards, suggesting improvements where necessary.
Provides technical support to HI team members (including Atlas Logistique team members) by providing training or refresher sessions potential to better master improved pedagogical practices to increase the level of knowledge sharing during the sessions.
Adapts activities based on audit recommendations, ensures technical quality and compliance with expert knowledge.
Contributes to the development of the evaluation system and implements recommendations for improving technical quality.
Helps the translator translate all the tools and processes used to build capacity.
Manages the technical side of the learning process in the project, working on bugs and applying best practices.
Task 2: Reporting and Monitoring
Contributes to regular reporting of capacity building efforts by analyzing technical data.
Contributes to internal and external project monitoring missions and project evaluation activities.
Task 3: Ensuring interaction with other companieshiccuped sides.
At the request of the Project Manager or Operations Manager, is a representative Humanity & Inclusion on capacity-building aspects of project implementation in liaison with relevant stakeholders such as local, national and international target organizations and key coordinators.

Qualification:
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering and Pedagogy/Education/Empowerment
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the development of educational materials (preferably for an adult audience)
Prior experience in the humanitarian or logistics sector will be an advantage
Skills:
Experience in developing educational content for an adult audience
and/or management of educational projects for adult audiences.
The ability to apply pedagogy and creativity in the educational process.
Excellent reporting skills (written and verbal);
Proficient command of office software: Word, Excel, Power Point.
Cooperation skills in an international organization
Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian, good command of written and spoken English
Knowledge of project management will be an advantage
