BusinessCom Networks is a satellite telecommunications service provider, operating worldwide since 2003. Our mission is to connect enterprise and government customers located in remote areas worldwide.
We are looking for an Operations Manager to support our SATCOM operations. This would involve providing technical, operations and project management support to our end customers, partners, and our own team members internally.
In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal team to improve the entire customer experience. If you have a flair for technology and client communication, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
Understand customer’s requirements for satellite connectivity
Provide technical support to our customers and partners
Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve network and user terminal incidents
Serve as the lead point of contact for project management matters (logistics, installation, maintenance)
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and stakeholders
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
Work with, coordinate and manage equipment suppliers, vendors, network service providers and field engineering partners
Forecast and track key account metrics
Prepare reports on account status
Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
Skills and Qualities
Computer networking: TCP/IP, Ethernet, NAT, DHCP, DNS
Basic networking troubleshooting: ping, traceroute
Fluent English
Desire and readiness to learn new technologies
Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired (Not Required)
Knowledge of BSD or Linux operating systems
Programming (any language)
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
