We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer for one of our clients - a US logistics business that has grown fivefold in recent years and continues to scale. It is a company that works at the intersection of logistics and technology, combining automation, service speed and a high level of maneuverability. Their digital solutions and internal products are practically unmatched by the software of major market players.

Today, the company needs a strong operational leader who can take control of all key operational processes and build a system capable of supporting rapid growth.

This is a business in which you will work with international markets, influence the quality of service and the efficiency of processes on a company scale. The company values speed, transparency, responsibility and results, there is no bureaucracy here - decisions are made quickly, hypotheses are tested quickly, and new directions are launched without delay. This is an environment that is looking for a leader who can do the same - quickly, strategically and systematically.

Key figures / facts about the company:

  • 70+ employees in the team.
  • 5x growth in 2 years.
  • Own mobile application and internal operating system.
  • Minimal bureaucracy and high speed implementation of changes.
  • Active development of new business areas.

What we offer

  1. A two-part incentive system: a fixed rate and a variable part - a percentage of the company's net profit. You will directly influence the level of your own income thanks to the management decisions you make and the results you achieve. The level of compensation is formed individually: the company is open to discussionand is ready to invest in a strong operational director.
  2. Office in Kyiv — convenient location, comfortable space, lively team. It is fundamentally important for the company that the operations director physically feels the temperature in the office and the team, is close to key people and processes.
  3. Clear work schedule: Mon-Fri, 15:00-01:00 Kyiv time. The company works with international markets, but respects your personal time: the schedule is known in advance, without chaotic "disruptions in the night".
  4. Evening travel compensation: the company is ready to take care of a safe and comfortable return home after work late.
  5. Direct interaction with the business owner: you work without unnecessary layers agreement, with a person who makes quick decisions and is really ready to delegate. This is not a story about a "formal SOE" - here you are seen as a partner.
  6. Strong influence on business strategy: you do not just support existing processes, but shape the operational outline of the company's growth, influence how how the business will look in 1-3 years.
  7. Opportunity to build an operating room "for yourself": the company already has a formed C-level and heads of areas, but management rhythm and discipline need to be strengthened. You will be given tools and powers, not just tasks - you can structure meetings, KPIs, control formats as you see fit.
  8. Modern IT infrastructure instead of "chaos in Excel": own IT system, integrated CRM, dashboards, financial analytics. You are not coming to a "manual" business, but to a company that already has a platform that can be scaled and refined.
  9. Working with international markets, in particular the American logistics segment: a stable, large niche with high service requirements. This is an environment where your management decisions will have real weight.
  10. Minimum bureaucracy and a lively pace: the company is flexible, quickly tests hypotheses and changes approaches. If you are tired of structures where any decision "lies in agreement" for weeks - here, on the contrary, fast and measured actions are expected.
  11. Strong team and an already formed management team: you do not have to "invent roles from scratch" - all key areas have their own heads. Your focus is getting the team to work as a cohesive unit rather than pulling tasks through the owner.
  12. Real growth prospect to CEO: The owner's long-term plan is to move away from the day-to-day operations. If you show results, the company is ready to consider the transition of COO > CEO and the formation of its own operational vertical under you. style="font-weight: 700">Experience of operations management (COO / Head of Operations / Operations Lead) with full responsibility for processes and the team.
  13. B2+ English proficiency - confident use at work is required.
  14. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business, where results and initiative are key success factors.
  15. Areas of responsibility / tasks:

    1. Optimization of business processes: audit of the operating model, identification of "bottlenecks", launch of initiatives that increase speed, stability and margin.
    2. Management of operational activities of the entire company: work with department heads, coordinating departments, maintaining a unified work logic and a high level of service.
    3. Building a management rhythm: regular operational meetings, defining clear goals, implementing KPI/OKR, transitioning from "process" logic to result logic.
    4. Coordination of internal IT projects: management of technical tasks, prioritization of features, control of deadlines, elimination of chaos and "fire", building clear operational interaction between teams.
    5. Increasing responsibility in the team: creation of a culture where tasks are performed without the need for direct participation of the owner. Building a reporting and control system.
    6. Implementation of new management and technological solutions: automation, optimization, work with contractors, development of tools and processes.
    7. Participation in strategic development: finding growth areas, working with new areas, launching new services and processes, forming the operational part of the strategy.

If you see yourself in the role of an operational leader who is able to scale the business, implement system solutions and influence the key results of the company —send your resume, we would be happy to meet you.
