Work format: variable schedule, 24/7
Purpose of the position:
Ensuring continuous, stable and secure operation of the SMS Hub / Messaging Platform, server and network infrastructure through monitoring, operational response to incidents and technical support of customers and partners.
Main responsibilities:
Monitoring and support
- Continuous monitoring of the infrastructure, servers and SMS Hub platform in order to ensure high availability (uptime).
- Identification, elimination and escalation of technical problems (including problems of routing, configuration, system parameters).
- Proactive identification of potential risks and their prevention.
Incident management
- Prompt response to incidents and emergency situations in accordance with established procedures.
- Documentation of incidents, conducting an initial analysis of causes (Root Cause Analysis).
- Informing responsible technical leads and stakeholders.
Processes and documentation
- Ensurement transfer of changes (shift handover) and 24/7 service support.
- Maintenance and updating of technical documentation, configurations, instructions and knowledge base.
- Participation in the development of checklists, response procedures and operational protocols.
Security
- Compliance with corporate information security policies and company standards.
- Access control, basic network and system settings.
Technical support and interaction
- Diagnosis and elimination of SMS delivery problems (delays, losses, network overload).
- Interaction with internal teams (NOC, IT, Development) for quick problem solving.
- Cooperation with providers and vendors to ensure stable SMS delivery.
- Technical support of partners at interconnections.
Qualification and knowledge requirements:
Technical expertise
- Deep understanding of SMS Hub operation and SMS routing processes.
- Knowledge of the SMPP protocol (commands, parameters, usage scenarios).
- Understanding the principles of building IP and GSM networks, the basics of IP telephony.
- Knowledge of MNP and HLR Reselling technologies, connection and customer support.
- Confident administration of Linux OS.
- Developed skills in working with Oracle DB, writing complex SQL queries.
- Skills in working with Cisco ASA Firewall (ACL, VPN statuses, restarting tunnels).
- Experience in working with Zabbix and Grafana monitoring systems (configuring agents, metrics, SMS quality monitoring).
- Skills in writing scripts (Shell, Perl, Python or Ruby).
Tools
- Fluency in MS Office.
- Experience with monitoring and logging systems.
Language and communication skills
- English: B1 - Intermediate (spoken and written).
- Strong communication skills: ability to clearly articulate problems and solutions.
- Attention to details, correct business correspondence, responsibility.
