Monitoring, evaluation, accountability and training worker/ MEAL Worker in Save the Children

Save the Children International— a humanitarian organization with more than 100 years of history. Save the Children was founded in May 1919 in London.  SCI has been working in Ukraine since 2014. It started its work in the territory of Donetsk region. Currently, SCI is expanding its activities to eight cities of Ukraine, and Dnipro is one of them.  We work in the areas of education, child protection, overcoming child poverty, health care, and we also carry out advocacy activities related to the protection of children's rights.

Post purpose:

The MEAL staff member is responsible for collecting and verifying data from beneficiaries, both in person and over the phone, using digital tools such as Kobo forms. They guarantee the accuracy and completeness of the data, which helps to increase the efficiency of the programs. This role also involves participating in field visits and ensuring data security and privacy.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Collect information using tablets with Kobo forms, face-to-face, or over the phone.
• If necessary, register data in appropriate forms to collect information.
• Enter, verify, clean, analyze and manage information from the database as requested.
• Perform data verification and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Participate in field visits.
• Conduct telephone surveys as part of needs assessments or other data collection activities as needed.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all data collected by adhering to information protection policies and procedures.
• Maintain secure handling and storage of confidential information, including encryption and access control.
• Create reports and dashboards.
• Support MEAL team in performing additional tasks as necessary, including support in conducting assessments, examinations and monitoring visits

Desirable:

• Digitize, enter and work with data;
• Work with Excel tables; 
• Enter and organize data from paper sources.
• Regularly review and adhere to data security and privacy best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Experience collecting and analyzing data in the field (face-to-face) and over the phone.
• Communication skills.
• Attention to details.

• Fluent command of the language.
• Kindness.
