The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of monitoring systems, evaluating project performance, conducting evaluations, and working with various platforms to collect and track data. The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will work with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team to ensure proper planning and execution of monitoring surveys and studies by both partners and project teams. The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will assist partners and members of the Samaritan's Bag Ukraine team in implementing the principles of Monitoring, Accountability, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL). The position will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of periodic reports including program reports, implementation reports and evaluation reports.
Position Responsibilities
- Assurance performance with the highest standards of integrity and support to achieve program objectives through support and improvement of M&E systems, partner accountability and data management.
- Collaboration with M&E Manager, officers M&E and project staff to support the development and implementation of monitoring plans, including data collection and data validation.
- Frequent use of Microsoft Excel and other data entry tools, as well as iForm survey software.
- Working with project staff and partners to improve data collection and management systems.
- Improving data collection sequencing, recording and reporting information on acquired skills.
- Interaction with partners, government agencies, donors and other stakeholders, where appropriate, in the context of reporting, data collection and updates.
- Ensuring proper feedback and follow-up mechanism, follow-up on complaints to achieve resolution by involved project/program staff.
- Contribute and participate in project research and evaluations, including, but not limited to, developing survey tools and providing support in data cleaning and analysis.
- Assist with other M&E tasks as needed.
Skills required
- Two years of experience in research, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, capacity development and/or program support.
- Excellent analytical, computer and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and management skills at times.
- Ability to work creatively, independently and in a team.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people.
- Ability to think clearly and clearly; solve practical problems and work with a variety of variables.

- Knowledge of computer systems and their applications, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education / Preferred experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in managementstudy of data, statistics, social sciences, economics or other relevant field; one to five years of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language
- Fluency in English at level B2 or higher is a must< /li>
- Ukrainian is mandatory
Working schedule:
8:30-17:00, Mon-Fri
Start of the contract — 1 January 2025.
