Middle/Senior Magento 2 Frontend Developer (remote) in Preis HR agency

For our client, a Magento agency working with international eCommerce projects (EU/US) for over 10 years, we are looking for a Middle/Senior Magento 2 Frontend Developer (remote). The role has a clear frontend focus: development and support of the storefront in Magento 2, work with themes, UI components, checkout and integration with the backend via API. The quality of layout, page productivity and the ability to work in a team with direct communication with clients are important.

Necessary skills:

• Experience of frontend development specifically for Magento 2 (storefront).

• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).

• Experience with Magento 2 theming: layout XML, templates (PHTML).

• Experience with UI components (Magento 2) and customization of standard components.

• Understanding of Magento 2 frontend stack (RequireJS, basic principles of JS modules in Magento).

• Experience with LESS/SASS.

• Adaptive layout and cross-browser compatibility.

• Understanding and practical experience of page performance optimization (Core Web Vitals/Lighthouse).

• Ability to work with Git, participation in code review, writing supported code.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum.

• English language (oral and written communication): B2+.

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Hyva Themes.

• Experience with Tailwind CSS / Alpine.js (if you worked with Hyva).

• Experience with Magento PWA / headless (PWA Studio, React/Next.js).

• Experience with GraphQL (at the level of use for storefront).

• Understanding the Magento ecosystem from a performance perspective (Varnish/Redis/Elasticsearch) and how it affects the frontend.

• Docker (for local dev environment), CI/CD understanding.

Responsibilities:

• Development and support of the front-end part of Magento 2 storefront.

• Theme customization: XML layout, PHTML templates, styles (LESS/SASS).

• Work with UI components, forms, customer account, checkout (within the frontend).

• Implementation of interactive logic on JavaScript in Magento 2.

• Integration of the frontend with the backend through the API (receiving/displaying data, interaction with third-party services through the backend).

• Optimization of speed and stability of the interface (Core Web Vitals).

• Ensuring adaptability and cross-browser compatibility.

• Participation in task assessment, planning and code review.

• Communication with clients within the project.
