Middle/Senior IT Project Manager (Data & AI) in PrivatBank

About the team and role: The Data & AI Project Manager team is a portfolio team that implements business and technology initiatives at the intersection of data, analytics and modern IT solutions. We work with projects of various complexity: from classic business products and integrations to the development of data infrastructure, analytical services and AI/ML solutions that directly affect operational efficiency and customer experience.

In this role, the Project Manager is responsible for the complete life cycle of projects in the Data & AI portfolio - from initialization and planning to implementation control and reporting. The key task of the role is to ensure transparent and predictable delivery-implementation, synchronize business expectations with technical reality and build a managed process for the implementation of initiatives, regardless of their type: a classic business project or a data-driven solution.

Purpose of the position:to ensure effective project management in theandDATA & AI portfolio, including business and data-intensive initiatives, through planning, coordination, monitoring and control at all stages of the project life cycle. The focus of the role is to achieve measurable business results through high-quality, sustainable and predictable delivery implementation in the field of data, analytics and AI/ML.

Primary responsibilities:

• Management the full life cycle of projects within the DATA & AI portfolio, including business projects, development and optimization of data infrastructure, analytical and AI/ML initiatives
• Managing the delivery flow of projects in the areas of Data, Analytics, ML/AI, DWH, BI, including planning, budgeting, risk management, resources and interaction with vendors
• Ensuring consistency between business goals, customer requirements and technological solutions, taking into account technical constraints, architectural principles and dependencies
• Coordination of internal and externaltheir stakeholders: business units, IT teams, architecture, information security, risk management and external partners
• Management of cross-functional project teams, which may include analysts, developers, ML engineers, architects and QA
• Initiation, planning and implementation of projects using Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid approaches depending on the type initiatives and context
• Building and maintaining project documentation, including: Project Charter, Backlog, Roadmap, Risk Register, status and management reporting, using Jira and Confluence
• Formation of regular reporting for management, analysis of project execution, support of portfolio management processes and transparent delivery control

Basic requirements:

• Higher education (preferably in IT, mathematics, analytics or project management)
• 2+ years of relevant experience in a Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Business Analyst, System Analyst or Product Owner role with responsibility for IT implementation and/or Data projects
• Practical project management experience in the areas of: business IT solutions, data migration, integration, back-end systems, analytical and data-driven initiatives
• Understanding basic approaches in Data Science, Big Data, ML/AI, as well as the principles of modern data platforms and analytical solutions
• Confident use of Jira (preferably Tempo, BigPicture), Confluence, Google Workspace
• Skills in preparing and maintaining project documentation, facilitating work meetings, preparing presentations and materials for management and business stakeholders
• Understanding the principles of SDLC, CI/CD, basic architectural concepts and integrations between systems
• Knowledge of English at the Upper-Intermediate (B2+) level for interacting with vendors and preparing working and status reporting

It will be an advantage:

• Experience in system requirements management (BRD, FRD, User Stories)
• Participation in the implementation of AI/ML solutions (scoring, NLP, anomaly detection, etc.) levels of delivery management or cross-team coordination
• Basic understanding of cloud data and AI services: AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, Gemini
• Experience of working with complex, multifunctional or strategic initiatives within a large IT portfolio
