Middle Python Developer in EVO

Prom.ua is the largest marketplace in Ukraine, where more than 200 million products are sold by 60 thousand entrepreneurs from all over the country. The platform connects shoppers looking for everything they need at the best price — from everyday essentials to home goods and appliances. At the same time, it helps entrepreneurs develop their business through the marketplace catalog, Prom platform sites and mobile application.

A strong engineering direction is responsible for product stability and development. The Customer Retention team creates tools to bring customers back and drive their engagement in the marketplace. Now the team is looking for a Middle Python Developer, who will join the scaling of services, strengthening the quality of technical solutions and further development of the product.

Main task list:

• Development of tools to stimulate user activity: personalized delivery, discounts and return mechanisms, etc. that increase repeat purchases.
• Support and development of smart delivery subscription: control of subscription relevance and work under high load (up to 1000 RPS).
• Integration with eSputnik for omnichannel communication: transmitting user events and creating webhooks.
• Building business logic based on user events (views, cart, order, payment) to trigger marketing trigger scripts and of communications.
• Ensuring reliability and quality of services in cross-team interaction with other directions.

What is required for this role:

• Experience with Python from 3 years.
• Sufficient knowledge of PostgreSQL (including work with transactions) and experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding the principles of asynchronous interaction and the operation of services under workload.
• Autonomy and sociability: comfortable working with a lot of internal interactions and cross-team coordination.
• Product mindset: understanding the business logic and impact of technical solutions on the product and users.

Will be a plus:

• Experience of working withFastAPI, Redis, gRPC, Kafka.
