We are looking forMiddle Data Analyst / BI Developer, which will initially focus on the construction of management, financial and regulatory reporting and the preparation of data sources for them. In the future, the focus of the role will gradually shift to the formation of a single source of data for reporting - building a transparent and consistent data model for analytics.
Main tasks:
Data sources support in Tableau (views/marts/data sources)">End-to-end construction transferring reports to Tableau:
gathering requirements > preparing data sources > building dashboards > validation > maintenance- Proactively working with users: defining the context and proposing solutions
- none">Providing ad-hoc queries and studies (SQL + Python): data preparation, data quality checks (Data Quality) of disagreements, fixation of rules, control of hundredbility.
Systematization of business logic and its transfer to data sources: minimizing duplication of rules in dashboards and manual files
Participation in the development of DWH / Source of Truth: improvement of the analytical layer
Background of work in data and/or BI analytics 2+ years
System experience with SQL (preferably PostgreSQL): joins, aggregations, CTE, window functions, conditional aggregates; understanding grain, correct work with NULL and filter logic
Experience in building dashboards in BI (preferably Tableau): work with data sources (extract/live), calculated fields, filters/parameters; a basic understanding of how the model and queries affect the speed of dashboards
A basic understanding of data modeling for analytics (facts/dimensions, level of detail, avoiding duplicates on joins)
Proactive collection of requirements and communication with users: identification of needs, proposal of implementation options, agreement of expectations (MVP > improvement)
Data validation/comparison skills and the ability to explain discrepancies in numbers
Systemic thinking, accuracy, responsibility for result
Will be a plus:
Experience in fintech/banking environment or products that have transactional or operational flows (transactions, payments, billing, net/gross logic, etc.)
Basic Python skills (pandas) for ad-hoc tasks, benchmarking and simple automation
Understanding DWH concepts, OLTP vs OLAP, basic understanding of normal forms (1NF–3NF)
dbt / Airflow / cloud DWH (BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift, etc.)
Git experience
