217 separate battalion of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was formed in Lviv in in March 2022, initially as part of the Territorial Defense Forces. The battalion performs the tasks necessary to ensure the defense and protection of Ukraine against the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. The point of permanent deployment of the battalion is located in the city of Lviv. From 2022, we will carry out tasks in the east of Ukraine.

Main responsibilities:

• repair and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Requirements:

• suitability for military service in terms of health and moral and psychological qualities;
• desirable education in the field of radio engineering, radio communication, engineering, computer science;
• understanding of circuitry, electromechanics, radio communication;
• experience in microelectronics soldering and microelectronics repair;
• experience in servicing UAVs will be an advantage;
• accuracy, punctuality;
• sufficient level of self-discipline;
• proper physical training, absence of harmful habits;
• military service and combat experience will also be an advantage.

Conditions:

• service under the contract of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or official mobilization until the end of martial law;
• compulsory completion of basic general military training before starting duty (30-40 days) in special the training center of the Unmanned Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with further professional training;
• financial support from UAH 20,000. per month and bonuses depending on previous service, assigned tasks and place of service;
• the opportunity to realize leadership qualities, participate in relevant military exercises, career growth;
• material and property security, including provision of personal protective equipment, provision of accommodation, food, medical care during service;
• official annual leave, leave for family reasons, assistance in obtaining the status of a participant in hostilities in case of participation in hostilities and other social guarantees in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
