General information about the employee role:

Under the guidance of the Lead MEAL (Partner Work) Specialist, the MEAL (Partner Work) Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the full cycle of projects or project activities implemented by partners and/or supporting partners in the implementation of their tasks in the field MEAL.

Main job duties:

  • The MEAL specialist (working with partners) adheres to ethical principles in the performance of his tasks and responsibilities 

  •  

  • The MEAL Specialist (Partnership) is involved in assessing MEAL partners' potential/capabilities, as appropriate, and planning support for MEAL partners as identified. 

  • As the MEAL Coordinator (FP) in the assigned project(s), the MEAL (Partnership) Specialist is responsible for the planning and implementation or support of MEAL-related activities in assigned projects implemented by partners or in partnership. 

  • The MEAL Specialist (Partner Affairs) works with partner organization staff and relevant PIN program staff, especially the Partner Affairs Department, to ensure information sharing and timely delivery of MEAL activities.

  • Participates in the development of MEAL tools for planned monitoring activities. 

  • Prepares monitoring reports, including field reports, baseline reports, post-implementation/post-distribution monitoring (PIM/PDM) reports, final reports, analyzes monitoring information and results and shares results with MEAL Lead Specialist (Partnership) and MEAL Chair for further review, and ensures sharing of results with partners and relevant PIN program staff as per

  • Performs and organizes field monitoring visits to assess the progress of project implementation by partner organizations 

  • Helps partner organizations improve their accountability mechanisms at the project level. 

  • Together with the Lead MEAL Specialist (Working with Partners), the MEAL Specialist (Working with Partners) conducts trainings and information sessions on the basics of the MEAL approach and MEAL tools for employees of partner organizations.

  • The MEAL Specialist (Partnership) supports the Lead MEAL Specialist (Partnership) in MEAL activities as requested.

  • A MEAL specialist (partnership) joins learning lessons learned at the program level to support evidence-based program development.

  • Supports partner organization staff in developing tools and conducting data collection activities. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the MEAL Lead Specialist (for working with partners) and the MEAL Chairman.

Eligibility Requirements

 Education and specialty:  

Sociology and related disciplines

Work experience: 1 year

Professional competences:

- Effective communication skills with various stakeholders 

-Planning and coordination skills 

- Presentation Skills 

- Data analysis and complex skillsreporting, including the ability to write reports and analytical notes for various audiences

- High level PC skills
