Every year, we demonstrate multiple growth both in the size of the team and in the number of users worldwide. Currently, the company has more than 3,300 employees. R&D is responsible for device development at Ajax, which consists of four departments: System, Device, Automation and QA. Security systems have increased requirements for reliability and stability of operation. That is why the QA Department at Ajax Systems accompanies the product both at the development stage and in the process of production and further development. They detect bugs in hardware, software, or system interactions. This is not just a team of "clickers", these are creative engineers. They test new devices in various extreme conditions: they simulate the movements of people and animals, reproduce difficult weather conditions, temperature changes, arrange controlled fires and floods. We are looking for a Junior+ Manual Quality Assurance Engineer to support system quality and stability.

What is technically interesting about the vacancy?

We work with monolithic and microservice architectures, which have a lot of complex and interconnected logic. Back-end QAs work not only with APIs, but also with various punctures, proprietary binary, TCP and the gRPC framework. We analyze requirements and technical documentation for new developments and functionality, starting testing at the early stages of development. We interact with our beta testers, who are our customers, and receive feedback and inquiries through technical support or direct. We conduct a study of incorrect system behavior using logs, identify a cause-and-effect relationship. We use various testing tools, emulators and much more in our work. We approach testing creatively, so we constantly try to improve and optimize processes by implementing new ideas, implementing new approaches, developing and improving our product.

Necessary skills:

    • 1+ year of manual Back-end testing experience;
    • Excellent knowledge of testing theory;
    • Experience of working with requirements and TOR;
    • Good analytical skills;
    • Ability not only to find the problem, but also to find the cause and effect relationship;
    • Experience with JIRA, Confluence , Testrail;
    • Basic knowledge of Windows/MacOS/Linux;
    • Experience of working with logs and logging systems;
    • Experience of working with client-server architecture;
    • Experience with API (Postman) and testing methods;
    • Experience with tools such as Kibana/Grafana, Git, Jenkins;
    • Experience work with SQL/NoSQL DB;
    • Basic knowledge of networks;
    • Knowledge of binary and hexadecimal number systems.

Tasks:< /p>

    • Testing Back-end;
    • Work with proprietary binary protocol, with gRPC and API;
    • Work with monolithic and microservice architectures;
    • Work withMongoDB, Redis, S3;
    • Work with emulators;
    • Participation in the analysis and updating of documentation;
    • Interaction with other teams and departments (developers, business analysts , designers);
    • Interaction with Beta Test participants and the Support team;
    • Working with Git and Jenkins.

Will plus:

    • Experience with performance testing;
    • Basic knowledge of Java or Python;
    • Experience with gRPC;
    • Experience with Kafka, Nats;
    • Experience with Docker;
    • Experience with DataDog, understanding metrics.
