Mission and purpose of the position:Supporting youth development and preparation for independent life
Functional responsibilities:
- The youth manager is responsible for the overall management of the program with all relevant rights and responsibilities:
- organizes overall management of the youth program;
- coordinates the activities of youth program employees;
- monitors compliance with the policies and procedures of SOS Children's Towns;
- collects training needs and organizes training events for youth program employees;
- provides daily support to staff in order to develop professional skills and prevent professional burnout;
- ensures cooperation with other divisions of the SOS Program, including foster parents/guardians;
- Organizes the participation of youth in various events, promotes the development of youth initiatives, the involvement of young people to grant programs, etc.
- Cooperates with state and non-state organizations and institutions to fulfill the tasks of the youth program.
- Manages the program of semi-independent living for young people and promotes the socialization of young people.
- Organizes activities for professional orientation and employment of youth program participants.
- Establishes contacts with potential and existing employers, with the aim of further employment of youth program participants programs.
- Encourages and motivates participants to take part in the implementation of the youth program.
- Organizes various types of socially significant activities of the Youth Program participants.
- Plans and coordinates work with establishing and developing universal human values, generally accepted norms and rules of behavior in society, the need for self-education and self-control in the participants of the youth program.
- Strengthens the connection of the participants youth program with the local community.
- Takes an active part in the preparation of the budget, planning the activities of the youth program.
to candidates:- Full higher education (specialist, master) in the field of social sciences, project management, economics, management, other related Sciences.
- Experience of work in the social sphere from 3 years; experience in organizing events aimed at youth development, youth initiatives; in the field of humanitarian aid, development or implementation of social projects/programs.
- High level of communication skills.
- Critical thinking, strategic planning.
- Experience of working with state and public organizations.
- Experience of practical work with children and families from 3 years old.
- Knowledge of current legislation on protection of child and family rights.
