Manager of thematic communities of the VVD system (CoI Lead/Lessons Learned Communities Manager) in Boriviter, Viyskova shkola

We are a team building Ukraine's first horizontal operational experience management system in the Security and Defense Forces. Our mission is to shorten the path from battlefield observation to changes in doctrine and training. We do this through a network of thematic communities of interest (CoI), which unite specialists, combat officers, analysts, instructors of training centers and higher education institutions and international partners in a single system of knowledge exchange. The project is implemented with the support of international partners and is part of the strategic transformation of the Air Defense system to NATO Lessons Learned standards.

Role mission 
You will become the architect and conductor of the Connect System — a horizontal network of Lessons Learned interaction of specialists. Your task is to transform disparate groups of experts into an effective, self-replicating community where combat experience becomes institutional knowledge.

Key responsibilities and expected results:
Launch and support of pilot CoI Administration of 3-5 thematic communities on the basis of existing groups of specialists. Expected result: each active CoI conducts ?1 structured event per month (workshop, online session, thematic conference) until the end of 2026. Experience life cycle management Accompanying experience from "raw observation" to a validated lesson using the ODCR/DOTMLPFI methodology. Expected result: ensuring a stable flow of lessons through a full analytical cycle with reporting to management. Connect System Orchestration Facilitation of horizontal interaction between combat officers, analysts, VVZN instructors and VVD system officials. You are the point of coordination between people, not between documents. Synchronization of CoI and CoP Coordinating the work of informal communities of interest (CoI) with formal communities of interest (CoP) in the VVD vertical — ensuring a two-way flow of knowledge between levels. International Engagement Interact with allied partner structures to integrate best practices, share methodologies, and expand analytical expertise communities. Participation in international events as a representative of the Internal Affairs and Internal Affairs of Ukraine system.

Requirements for the candidate:

Mandatory

Experience in the defense domain ? 2 years (ZSU, manufacturers of OVT, NGOs of the defense profile, VVNIZ, civil service) Practical understanding of the methodology Lessons Learned - knowledge of the principles of analysis, the cycle of implementation of experience Confirmed experience of facilitation and moderation - the ability toand complex interdisciplinary discussions and extract the essential from large masses of information

• Skills of Stakeholder Management — effective communication simultaneously with technical specialists and officers at both strategic and strategic levels
• Own vision of tactics for launching and building new of communities (CoI/CoP)
• English Upper-Intermediate — for direct written and oral interaction with international partners
• Readiness for business trips in Ukraine and abroad

Desired

Experience of military service or direct work with units of the Armed Forces. Understanding of the architectural difference between CoI (informal) and CoP (institutional) in the context of Knowledge Management. Experience of cooperation with international partners (USA, Great Britain, NATO countries) Skills in working with knowledge management platforms (SharePoint, Confluence or similar)

• Introduction to DOTMLPFI as a framework for lesson analysis
